Syncing GvG
So my tard Guild leader wants to make a smurf guild and do a sync to get rating up higher. I'm pretty sure it's against rules my question is will they ban only the people involved or everyone in the guild?

I believe they only ban those actually doing it and, with GvG, they might disband the guild. That seemed to be what they were saying had been done with the guilds guilty of match manipulation during the last mass ban. You might want to find a new PvP guild before it happens to prevent getting caught in the fallout.

What could be done though is to make Red Resigns on Quest day . I don't see any problem doing it ( since this isn't the reason HB was deleted ), and it would incent some people to do GvG's once they ll do something about quest , because at the moment , it's just impossible to do any GvG except by playing at night , or if you're not much exped.

Red Resign is match manipulation, and therefore against the rules. Anything that affects rankings is considered cheating and will result in bans. HB had problems before Red Resign Day became an issue, which is why ArenaNet shut it down.

This is Gvg, Anet will care about match manipulation. It's not lower end Pvp like Ra syncing.

Yes , it would be on the same principle than in Hero Battles , although it would require some more people. It would not be for title farming , but only for the quest .
The point is i don't really think it's the same kind of match manipulation as having champ points , since you can do exactly the same in Codex . Then we can even consider ganking in HA is match manipulation , since you decide who will win ( we can also think of leavers in RA , syncing in RA , etc..) . However , GvG community is the smallest in all GW now i believe ( when you look AT's , number of fights on B , number of guilds on MAT ,.. ). Hb + TA had more players ( and it was said ascalon academy was morepopular ) The biggest part of guilds playing is the top150, and thus i suggested that idea , so people might care a bit more of GvG ,( like trying to play it seriously once the quest will be deleted , etc... ) |
